Lucy Janjigian. Uprooted.

Lucy Janjigian’s Uprooted is a series of 30 artworks depicting the plight of the Armenian people in 1915, uprooted and driven from their homeland. Born in Jerusalem, Lucy  Janjigian was educated as a biologist, but developed a passion for art that is now expressed in her many commissions for paintings, murals, sculptures, magazine illustrations, Christmas cards and designs for commemorative stamps. Her works hang in many public, private and corporate collections. The ‘Uprooted’ seriesreflects the experiences of her people and humanity’s will to endure.
