Along the Trails of the Armenian Orphans

Exhibition Location: Terjenian-Thomas Gallery, 3rd Floor

This exhibition tells the story of the humanitarian mission of Near East Relief using images from the Near East Foundation collection at the Rockefeller Archive Center, restored by the Naregatsi Art Institute (NAI). This rare collection of photographs illustrates the story of Near East Relief: an American-led humanitarian mission that saved thousands of Armenian orphans following the 1915 atrocities in the Ottoman Empire. Known as the Near East Foundation since 1930, the organization will celebrate 100 years of sustainable international development this year.
